My morning reading was in Genesis when Sarai told Abraham to have a child with Hagar....and the Arab nation was born:
Genesis 16:9–15(KJV 1900) — 9And the angel of the Lordsaid unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. 10And the angel of the Lordsaid unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. 11And the angel of the Lordsaid unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lordhath heard thy affliction. 12And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. 13And she called the name of the Lordthat spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? 14Wherefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. 15And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael. Over the years we have watched Presidents and Diplomats speak about peace in the Middle East. It's fascinating that most of these people would consider themselves Christians but yet be so uninformed in the Word of God. It's also funny how people who deny the Bible to be true can, with a straight face, look past prophecies such as this and not at least be respectful of how uncanny this has turned out to be. I have an announcement: there will be no peace in the Middle East. There I said it and I feel better! Haha! You see, the Bible says it, and whether I believe it or not, it's true.....God said this Ishamael would be a wild man....his hand against every man, and every man's hand against him.....hard to have peace talks with that kind of conflict going on.... Will this ever change?? Absolutely, but not in this age....The Bible teaches us in Ezekiel and Revelation of time when there will be peace on earth....but only when Jesus makes His Triumphant return Revelation 21:1–4(KJV 1900) — 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. We look forward to that day, but until then, the Lord has promised us the grace and love to get us through whatever situations we may encounter in this world that, at times, seems filled with hate and conflict.... God bless your day! Pastor Scott
