Important Notice from Bethabara Baptist Church

Important Announcement
In July 2025, Bethabara withdrew from the General Baptists Freedom Association and became Bethabara Baptist Church.
We believe the Bible clearly teaches the eternal security of a true believer—that those who are genuinely saved are kept by the power of God and cannot lose their salvation. In 1949, the General Baptist denomination changed its position to teach that salvation could be lost, a view we believe is contrary to Scripture.
Our conviction is not simply to ask, “How can you lose your salvation?” but rather, “How can you keep it apart from the keeping power of God?”
We now joyfully stand as an Independent Baptist Church, holding to the historic General Baptist doctrine as it was taught prior to 1949, remaining committed to the authority of Scripture and the message of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.
