Gods Plan the Cross

✨ Sermon Summary: “God’s Plan, the Cross” (Acts 2:22–28)📅 Message Date: August 3, 2025
📖 Scripture Focus: Acts 2:22–28
🔥 Overview:This week, we stepped into the heart of Peter’s sermon at Pentecost—a powerful declaration that Jesus’ death and resurrection were no accident. In Acts 2:22–28, we see the divine strategy of God unfold, showing us how sovereignty, suffering, and salvation came together on the cross.
Peter pulls no punches:
  • Jesus was approved by God through miracles and signs.
  • His death was planned by God yet carried out by wicked hands.
  • His resurrection was inevitable, foretold by David in the Psalms, and proven in power.
✝️ Why Did Jesus Die?Not because of a mock trial or mob hysteria—but because it was God’s determinate counsel and foreknowledge. God knew man’s sin, and still, He chose the cross as the best way to save us.
“God didn’t just predict the cross—He purposed it.”
💡 Key Truths from the Message:
  • ✅ Jesus was endorsed by God — His life, miracles, and message all bore the Father’s stamp of approval.
  • ✅ The cross was not man’s idea, it was God’s plan — even though man’s sin nailed Him there.
  • ✅ The grave could not hold Him — because He is Life itself. You can’t bury the Creator and expect Him to stay buried!
  • ✅ Prophecy foretold His resurrection — David saw it in Psalm 16, and Peter confirms it as fulfilled truth.
  • ✅ God’s plan is good—even when it’s hard — Romans 8:28–29 reminds us that our trials shape us into the image of Christ.
“God doesn’t just plan your steps—He shapes your soul.”
🕊️ Why It Matters Today:
  • Your salvation was planned before the foundation of the world.
  • Your suffering is never wasted—it’s part of God’s refining work.
  • Your Savior is alive—and He’s interceding, walking with you, and preparing a place for you!
Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. 🙌

📣 Final Invitation:Have you surrendered to this Jesus?
You were on His mind before the world began.
He died because of your sin. He rose for your victory.
Will you give your life to the One who gave His life for you?
