Below is a recap of my sermon for July 27, 2025
📖 Bulletin Summary:The First Gospel Sermon – Acts 2:14–24 On the Day of Pentecost, Peter—the once-fearful disciple—stood boldly to preach the very first Gospel message. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Peter declared:
The Gospel is still the same today: Jesus is alive, and salvation is available to all who believe. 📢 “The world doesn’t need a new message — it needs the original Gospel.” 🙌 Jesus is still Lord. Amen! ✍️ Poem for the Bulletin:“This Is That” The fire came down, the tongues appeared, The doubters mocked, the faithful cheered. Peter stood where fear once reigned, Proclaiming Christ who bore our shame. “This is that,” the prophet said, The Spirit falls, the Word is spread. The last days dawn with dreams and signs, Salvation flows through Heaven’s lines. The sky will darken, trumpets sound, But grace and mercy still abound. Whosoever calls today, Finds the Light, the Truth, the Way. Though death had gripped with iron hold, The tomb released what Heaven told-- Jesus lives, the grave undone, The risen Savior—God’s own Son. So preach this truth, don’t change or bend, The Gospel stands till history’s end. The world may scoff, but still we say: Christ is Lord—both then and today.
