Are We On The Same Team?

Revelation 3:9(KJV 1900) — 9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

As we look back through history, it doesn't take a person long to figure out that not every one who claims to be a Christian are truly born again Christians...We can remember the Salem witch trials....the "Puritans" were about in their 3rd generation....this was a group of people who were truly devoted to Jesus Christ.....in the beginning....but they were so afraid of their children becoming Catholic that when they were born, they were "baptized into the Puritan faith"....which again teaches us that Christianity cannot be forced on anyone....baptism without regeneration [truly being born again] will just get a person wet....that's about it....after 3 generations of this, we get the bunch who led the Salem witch trials...yet the world will say "Look at how "Christians" act".....in this passage we see that many of the "Jews" in spiritual reality weren't Jews at all....their bloodlines may have been, but in reality Jesus says they are actually of the synagogue of Satan.....What is kind of ironic is that Christians, true Christians, should all be on the same team....I can't tell you how many times I've invited people to Church and they acted offended and said, well I'm ____________ [name some denomination] as though it was atrocious to think of attending a Baptist Church....now granted, most of these people used this excuse as a defense mechanism ie they didn't attend Church at all.....but as Christians we really need to bond together, encourage one another, not drifting apart but loving and caring and helping one another....this world around us is become more and more Anti Christian and we are truly going to need each other before it's all said and done.....I hope that you know the Lord today and that you have a Bible believing Church to call home....if you do, attend it faithfully and be an encouragement to your fellow Christians! God bless your day!
