Psalm 68:19(KJV 1900) — 19Blessed be the Lord,Who daily loadeth us with benefits,Even the God of our salvation. Selah.
Let us never forget that our Lord has benefits for us every single day! The Bible says He not only has a benefit plan, but that He loads us with them daily! If we look at verses such as this through the eyes of material possessions, we will never secure this blessing in its fullness.....you see, no matter what a man may possess of this world, true benefit would be to be blessed with nothing but the fellowship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Be blessed today, acknowledge His benefits and find true contentment! God bless you this day! SW

Mark 3:28–29(KJV 1900) — 28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
I remember as a child hearing preachers give various meanings to this verse [and the others like it] as though there were some act a person could physically do which could prevent them from ever being saved.....I have heard them say that if you were ever under conviction and didn't come to the altar, you've forfeited your chance....can't be forgiven after that, you've blasphemed the Holy Spirit [when in fact they had only grieved the Holy Spirit]....they would say that trying to get people to come to an altar to pray. By the way, there is no scripture reference to an altar call.....that was invented by a man named DL Moody.....but that's another story for another day....the above rendering in Mark tells us all we need to know as to what this verse really means....when a person deliberately slanders the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit, he obviously cannot be saved in that state.....that person has wholly rejected the only basis of God's salvation sadly enough....in this state there is no hope for this person....but for the rest of us, imperfect human beings, when we sin, we ask forgiveness and pray the Lord to reestablish fellowship with us.....The Holy Ghost is with us eternally! We cannot blaspheme that which we know to be true! May the Lord bless your day!! Pastor Scott 1 Chronicles 14:9–17(KJV 1900) — 9And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. 10And David inquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lordsaid unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. 11So they came up to Baal-perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim. 12And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire. 13And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley. 14Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. 15And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines. 16David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer. 17And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.
we are prone to presumption.....we presume everything will be the same in most every situation we go through.....in this passage we see David praying for an enemy has attacked....David prayed, God said go and I'll be with you.....in verse 13 the Bible says the Philistines showed up again.....how many of us would be tempted to just say something like "Oh, haven't had enough yet eh??!!" and charged after the enemy just like before? only to have been defeated....David didn't presume God's grace....he prayed again it says in v 14....and this time God said, don't go yet, wait for my signal.....friends, let this be a lesson that we should never presume God's grace .... pray, pray, pray, and be thankful, thankful, thankful.....this is the way of the joyful Christian life....may your day be blessed!
