1 Timothy 6:6–10 (KJV 1900) — 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

When we think about Black Friday in this day and age, we probably think back to some of the sad videos of people trying to grab sale items off a shelf or display before the rest of the mob beats them to it..... in some sad cases, fights ensue.....people actually fighting one another over a toy.....I can't imagine our Founding Fathers had this in mind when our nation was founded on the basic principles of freedom....but what you may not understand is that we have people walking the streets who would literally lie, cheat, steal and fight over a "thing".....I wonder if those same people would be willing to fight for our country if necessary, but that is another story for another day....the point I would like to make this black friday, is to remind everyone of what we call Good Friday....when the skies did turn black for 3 hours....our Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross.....after being severely tortured and mocked.....to be secured in a tomb....to rise and live again....to prove to us and the world that there is life after death....and if we receive Him into our hearts, we'll have no more Black Fridays or any other Black days of the week! We know what true contentment is! We no longer need be concerned about the "latest and greatest" items this world has to offer....we have found that "treasure hid in a field, which, when a man finds it, goes and sells whatever he has to buy that field"....My friends, that field is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ...as we enter into the Holiday season, the Christmas Season, I hope that the above words ring true in your hearts.....I hope that if we had to fight over something, we would fight against sin which ruins peoples homes and lives....that we would fight to get people  back into a Bible believing Church....I don't mean a physical fight my friends....we wrestle not with flesh and blood the Bible says....but spiritual wickedness in high places....this type of wickedness would cause a man or woman to beat their fellow citizen over a package of some sort.....and all the world would give everything they had to just get here and be satisfied.....Please pray for our Nation and our President and all of our leaders today.....May God bless you and your family today and every day! 

1 Thessalonians 1 (KJV 1900) — 1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; 3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: 7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Kanye West has been in the news a lot lately.... I admit that I never would have thought I would have heard his name and Jesus in the same sentence....I say that not really knowing anything about him except what I've heard in the news about his family in years gone by....but I see these posts where he has had a Christian conversion.....I see where he has written a new album about Jesus....I see where he is holding Church services where 10,000 plus are gathering and many coming to Christ....I see where he is holding services in Prisons.....I'm not going to hold against him that he went to Joel Osteens Church because maybe the Gospel finally even got preached there [Joel doesn't believe in hell, so I really don't know why people even bother going to his "church"]... I don't know as I didn't see the service.....One thing we know for certain....God can use willing vessels for His service....and we need people to be willing to do His service.....But the verses above teach us that the Gospel isn't anything new....in other words, Joel Osteen or Kanye West didn't make the Gospel....the Gospel made them, if indeed they truly are in Christ.....The Bible says the Gospel came, not just in words, but in Power, in the Holy Ghost and much assurance.....The Church is alive because of Jesus Christ....I listened to Franklin Graham this morning on TV talking about Kanye and how exciting it is to see someone with so much talent and influence trying to lead others to Christ..... I certainly echo that sentiment....but for those who think that he is doing this just to sell records, I would say that that is also a possibility....I also have an answer for those people: time will tell.....I pray that his conversion is real and that his ministry is really for Christ and that God uses him for a great revival in our country! Because we definitely need it! I also pray that he gets good Biblical counsel from true Bible teaching ministries.... not from the name it claim it prosperity false gospel camp which would destroy his ministry in a matter of weeks..... We should join together to pray for Kanye and all those who are trying to help him in his vision to reach others for Jesus Christ.....If he truly is in Christ and striving to do Gods work....one thing for certain....the world will turn on him....Hollywood hates the real Jesus....Kanye will need our prayers and support.....I hope that you all have a blessed day in the Lord and do pray for all who are striving to make a difference for Jesus in this world 

Deuteronomy 4:1–7 (KJV 1900) — 1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you. 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. 3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you. 4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day. 5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

Psalm 33:12 (KJV 1900) — 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
People can argue about why America is great....some people say America isn't great at all....I'm one of the people that says America is great, but only on the principle that our founding fathers believed "In God We Trust".....we have some sordid history in our Genesis for sure, but I think about the people that made our nation .... we had natives here already...but the people that came from England? Think about this....who would give up their land and position in social class to come to a plot of ground where you may or may not live for a year?? Well the answer to that is no one in their right minds....so we had a lot of criminals and lower class people and some who would start anew to risk coming over here.... some people who were just trying to hide....but I also remember that group of pilgrims who came over here to get away from the Church of England...and worship the Lord freely without government intervention....we know their story....half of them died the first winter....we have the story of Thanksgiving where these pilgrims are involved....but the Bible says blessed is the nation who's God is the Lord....my friends, God has made this country what it is....there can be no other explanation...think of it...we went through a civil war? when we were still an infant nation?? How could we have survived that...if God were not cloaking us with His protection from hostiles....now we may argue further that we have been a safe haven for His chosen people the Hebrews, and I think that point of view has merit....and we best continue to support Israel and its people....but make no mistake about it....when I get to Heaven...if I'm allowed to....I want to see Jesus...the Heavenly Father....but I also want to meet with these people and see the ones who's prayers turned a nation upside down for Jesus Christ!
