1 Corinthians 2:9–14 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We can go into a Bible Book store today and find several titles written by people young and old who have supposedly had some experience where they said they saw Heaven, or in some cases, Hell....I don't intend to judge those people, but the Bible says here that we can't even imagine [not even in our dreams] what God has prepared for us....also, do you find it ironic that Lazarus literally was raised from the dead and didn't write a book that we know of?.....verse 10 says God reveals with His Spirit.....His Word.....we get glimpses of the Glory which awaits us on the other side.....this earth has so much natural beauty, but is nothing to be compared with what lies ahead......verse 14 explains the dilemma that the "natural man" [unsaved people] face: they mistakenly see this earth as their paradise and they fight for it; Sadly they don't see or imagine [they can't] what God has in store for us who love Him....Revelations tells us, after the Church has been taken away from this earth, when the first seal is opened.....there will be peace.....I can only imagine what the people here are thinking--something like: finally, we have this earth to ourselves and we can make it green and alive again! , Sadly, this peace is short lived and then we see the Lord allowing the earth to destroy itself bit by bit, piece by piece....it will get so bad that people will wish they can die, but can't.....My prayer today is that the people who don't care to get a glimpse of the good that lies ahead for those who love Him, will get a good glimpse of what's going to happen to those who won't......kind of a grim note to leave on, but I pray you all have a blessed Friday!
