Fathers Who Build Arks

Here is a summary of my Fathers Day Sermon on June 15, 2025

🛠️ Fathers Who Build ArksFather’s Day Sermon — June 15, 2025
Text: Genesis 6:8–22
🔹 Sermon Summary:This Father’s Day, we looked at Noah—a man who built more than a boat. He built a legacy of obedience, faith, and spiritual shelter for his family in a world falling apart. Today, godly fathers are called to do the same: to build "arks" that protect and guide their families through life's storms.
🔹 Key Highlights:
  • A Corrupt World, A Faithful Man
    • Like Noah’s day, we live in a time of moral confusion and spiritual decay (Gen. 6:5).
    • Noah found grace in God's eyes and stood out by walking with God (Gen. 6:8–9).
    • Fathers are called to stand out—not blend in—with righteousness and integrity.
  • The Ark: More Than a Boat
    • The ark was a symbol of salvation, obedience, and separation from the world.
    • Fathers today must build homes of faith, safety, and purpose—spiritual shelters for their families.
  • Building Takes Intentionality
    • Just as Noah built the ark with care and purpose, dads must build their homes intentionally.
    • Daily faithfulness—prayer, devotions, love, discipline—is the "chopping wood and carrying water" of spiritual fatherhood.
  • Obedience Over Understanding
    • Noah obeyed God’s command even though it had never rained before.
    • Fathers must trust God even when it doesn’t make sense--obedience is the cornerstone of spiritual leadership.
  • Facing Ridicule, Remaining Faithful
    • Noah was mocked, yet remained faithful (2 Peter 2:5).
    • God’s call often invites misunderstanding, but faith looks beyond the moment to God’s promises.
  • The Storm Will Come
    • The ark didn’t prevent the storm, but it preserved the family through it.
    • Dads, storms in life will come—your preparation and obedience will carry your family through.
  • God's Covenant and Your Calling
    • Genesis 6:18 reminds us that God makes a covenant with faithful men.
    • Noah’s faith saved his household (Hebrews 11:7), and so can yours.
  • Every Plank Matters
    • Genesis 6:22: “Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.”
    • Every prayer, every loving act, every decision in faith is a plank in the ark you're building.
🔹 Final Words to Fathers:“Fathers, build your homes with faith.
Let your walk with God be your family's anchor.
Don't just survive the storm--lead your family through it.”
🔹 Scripture of Encouragement:Psalm 46:1–3
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble… though the waters roar...we will not fear.”

Witnesses of the Risen Christ

Here is a recap of my June 8, 2025 Sermon
✨ Witnesses of the Risen ChristSunday Sermon — June 8, 2025
Text: Luke 24:48–53
🔹 Sermon Summary:As the Gospel of Luke comes to a close, we see the risen Jesus giving His final words to His disciples before ascending into Heaven. He doesn't abandon them—He blesses, empowers, and sends them out. This powerful scene reminds us: we are witnesses of a living Savior who still reigns, still intercedes, and still sends.
🔹 Key Highlights:
  • Witnesses with a Mission
    • Jesus says, “Ye are witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:48).
    • A witness isn’t just a spectator, but someone who sees, knows, and shares.
    • The word for witness (Greek martys) implies responsibility, and even sacrifice.
  • Waiting with Purpose
    • Jesus tells His disciples to “tarry...until ye be endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
    • The Holy Spirit is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for Christian living and ministry.
    • Sometimes, obedience means waiting for God’s timing, not rushing ahead.
  • The Blessing at Bethany
    • Jesus leads them to Bethany—the place of resurrection, relationship, and prayer.
    • He lifts His hands in a priestly blessing as He ascends—not abandoning, but exalting.
    • His last act on earth was to bless, and that blessing continues today.
  • Jesus is Not Gone—He’s Glorified
    • Jesus now reigns at the right hand of God, interceding for us (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25).
    • His ascension means our salvation is secure, and His ministry continues in Heaven.
  • Worship Fueled by Joy
    • The disciples returned to Jerusalem “with great joy” (Luke 24:52).
    • Joy is rooted not in circumstances, but in the unshakable reign of Christ.
    • They didn’t stop praising—Scripture says they were continually in the temple (v. 53).
🔹 Three Responses for Every Believer:
  1. Be a Witness
    • Tell others what Christ has done.
    • Share the truth that changed your life.
  2. Wait for His Power
    • Depend daily on the Holy Spirit.
    • Don’t go in your own strength.
  3. Worship with Joy
    • Live a lifestyle of praise.
    • Let worship overflow from your faith in a risen, reigning Savior.
🔹 Final Challenge:Christ has ascended, but the Church’s work is just beginning.
He still blesses. He still empowers. He still sends.
Now it’s our turn.
Let’s live like we’ve seen Him.
Let’s speak like we know Him.
Let’s worship like we’re waiting on Him.
Let’s go be the Church.
